Be Careful What You Pray For

by on Nov.10, 2010, under Religious

Lately, I have been on a spiritual journey. God and I are becoming real close lately it seems, and recently, I prayed that when I was out that people would see God in me and would recognize that I am a christian. I have discovered that when I prayed this prayer God was faithful and put it into action. This has been great in situations that I was prepared for. Today, however, I had to get up at 5:30am to find parking for free newar work, and needless to say this has not been one of my better mornings. However, I have ran into several people who I know God has put in my path to talk to. As I was walking up to work today and standing at the crosswalk, a gentleman began talking to me, and on the inside I didn’t feel like talking to anyone, but he began talking to me and I had to answer and be a light for God. As I got oin the elevator I ran into a man who noticed my school book, and asked what I was reading, I told him I was a student at Liberty only to find out that he too was a student there, and he asked if I was a preacher and where.

God, help me on the days that I am at my worst to still shine your love in my life, I thank you for the test you have given me, and opening my eyes to see that good days or bad, I still need to represent your kingdom with grace and love.

Hackintosh B’gosh!

by on Jul.02, 2010, under Tech Blog

I posted earlier about 10.5.8 Hackintosh and how I like it so much better than Windows platforms. I have been inundated with questions about usage and compatibility, so I decided I will write about it a little more.

First, we come to how to secure the OS. If you do a search for Hackintosh, OSX86, or Ideneb, you will see there are several platforms to choose from. Please note however Hackintoshing is not available for every computer that is out there. One needs to make sure that their system is compatible. Most of the systems I have seen capable of such a feat are limited to the Intel Processor line. There is very little in the way of AMD processor success. Do a search on your computer type and secure all drivers before beginning. Having the right Kexts and reading the fine manuals beforehand will save a lot of frustration later.

I have successfully made a Dell Optiplex GX520, and a Acer Aspire 3690 OSX capable, and have almost successfully pulled of one of the Acer netbooks from Wal-mart. Will post more on it after I complete it.

Finally, some people have asked for capabilities in running programs, and mainly games. There seems to be a huge misconception that a Mac cannot game. I will post what games  I currently have running on my Mac.

1. World Of Warcraft

2. Steam (Half Life, Portal)

3. Urban Terror

4. Worms Armageddon

5. Starcraft

6. Diablo

7. Age Of Empires

8. Battlefield 2142

As you can see I am able to run some games that can be hardware intensive, and I am doing so on 1g of ram. The games run stable and on the native video as well, however I will be installing an ATI 512 card later this weekend. I actually find Warcraft to run more stable on the OSX than on Windows.

So if you want to make the leap and try Mac without shelling out big dough, I’d look into a Hackintoshing. You may just find yourself pleasantly surprised.

Android G-1 Phone Vs. Ipod

by on Mar.26, 2010, under Tech Blog

For months I have been using a Samsung phone and an Ipod together so that I can fully enjoy the usage of Wifi when needed, and get my calls as well.

This past week I have been field testing a Android G-1 Phone made by HTC. To see how it compares to using the Ipod. Now I know this is kind of Apples to Oranges, so I will address the features that i use commonly between the two platforms.

First the Pros of the G-1:

I can run two apps simultaneously, which is great, for say, leaving my alarm clock on while surfing the net. I do not have to go back into the App as I do on the Ipod.

Text messages and system notes are placed in a browser bar at the top of the G-1, so when traffic comes in I can just scroll the bar down and read the messages.

The built in QWERTY keyboard is also nice, and ensures faster typing of correspondence between myself and others without fat fingering as much.

Application downloads seem to be faster as well, and the ability to add SD-cards for more memory is aplus.

The camera and Video feature are very nice as well, and the recording capabilities are superior to my old Blackberry Pearl.

Surfing doesn’t seem to eat up much of the battery on the phone either like the Ipod. I am getting decent time in the net.

There is a plethora of applications for free unlike the Ipod. and there are some open source projects as well. It seems Android values Open Source!

Also you can direct dial a person straight from a text, which is a nifty little thing.

With being said however, there are a few downfalls to this phone.

Cons: Battery life is not that great, if you are running the WIFI and Bluetooth, it taxes the energy right out of the phone. Luckily, the recharge doesn’t take that long and the WIFI, and the Bluetooth can be toggled off to preserve life.

Another downside to the Bluetooth is that there are documented issues with using a Bluetooth headset, I have experienced this first hand. It will pair with the Bluetooth headset but will disable the sound on the phone, and none come through the Bluetooth. The only remedy is to reboot the phone.

Boot time is slow,  so it takes a while to just be able to make a call. It’s liveable but can be a pain.

Navigation from one app to the next takes some getting used too.

Another issue I have noted is the lack of spell checking, like on my Ipod. I love how I can misspell all day long and the Ipod will correct my messages for me, which is great for a IT professional as myself.

I Social Network, and being able to bounce around Face Book on the Ipod is great, however with the G1 I can only view one or two things like status updates. Thus making my Face Book a glorified Twitter account.

If the software gets better the G1 will be a formidable opponent, but for now I still think the Apple Ipod and Iphone are better products.

Why I believe in Free Will Vs. Once Saved Always Saved

by on Mar.03, 2010, under Religious

Confessing Jesus or Denying the Lord Jesus Christ is the “saved / not saved” main issue.  It is something THAT WE DO, based on our beliefs.  People who argue for Once Saved Always Saved will often say,

“There’s nothing you can DO to become saved, or it will be works.  Therefore, there is nothing you can DO to become unsaved, you can’t GAIN or LOSE salvation based on what you do.”

Well, the first premise is wrong, because to be saved, one has to DO quite a lot; first be willing to hear the message, second, believe it in faith, third, repent of your sins, and fourth, confess that you believe God rose Jesus from the dead, and fifth, continue in the faith.  And the act a person takes that leads to salvation is the opposite act one takes as a result of falling away from the faith.  Confession or Denial of Jesus!

See, recently, I preached on this very message and it caused quite a stir in one of our members. They later confided in me they are Calvinist, and asked me to back it up scripturally, and when I did, again they didn’t accept it, yet they wanted prayer for a backslidden son…is this not direct evidence of their non belief in once saved always saved?

See to argue Predetermination, would negate the need for Grace, and to negate Grace, would be to negate that Jesus had to die for our sins. We know that He did it to allow grace in so therefore, if we argue that he did for an elect group, number one we are being very pompous to assume we are part of the chosen, and we make him a liar as he said, “I come to seek that which is lost”. Are we all not lost at one time?

2 Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
2 Timothy 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Luke 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
Luke 12:9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Exodus 32:33 And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
Psalm 69:28, Deuteronomy 29:20

Jude 1:4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 12:36  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Rev 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my
word, and hast not denied my name.
Rev 3:10 Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.

I looked today, and found a bible study listed on this very subject, I am going to post some excerpts from that page.

The process of falling away, and changing one’s beliefs, which eventually can lead a person to deny Jesus, is described in many verses.

Given all of the ways to fall away from the faith, the Bible tells us to examine ourselves, and work out our salvation with fear.  Sometimes religious people who may believe OSAS become very offended if you preach to them anything that might question their salvation.  They say, “How dare you!”.  Well, I dare because scripture commands us to question our salvation.

2 Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.

Philippians 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

1 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Next is a list of the things lead to falling away from the faith and belief in Jesus.
Falling away & being rejected by God, can be the result of (each verse quoted in full below):

  1. for lack of knowledge & rejected knowledge Hosea 4:6
  2. that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not  Matt 7:24-27
  3. hearers only, deceiving your own selves  James 1:22
  4. beareth not fruit & abide not in me   John 15:2,6
  5. not a doer & forgetteth what manner of man he was  James 1:22-24
  6. faith without works is dead  Jam 2:17-26
  7. he that lacketh & hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins  2 Peter 1:9
  8. unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures  2 Peter 3:16
  9. err from the truth  James 5:19-20
  10. lust, and enticed  James 1:13-16
  11. the love of money  1 Timothy 6:10
  12. be a friend of the world  James 4:4
  13. the pollutions of the world & again entangled therein & turned to his own vomit again  2 Peter 2:20-22
  14. the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word  Matt 13:22
  15. have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away  Luke 8:13
  16. tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended  Matt 13:21
  17. be without chastisement  Hebrews 12:6-8
  18. servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death  Romans 6:16
  19. being led away with the error of the wicked  2 Peter 3:17
  20. seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils  1 Timothy 4:1
  21. an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.  Hebrews 3:12-15
  22. sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth  Hebrews 10:26
  23. having put away concerning faith & blaspheme  1 Timothy 1:18-20:
  24. counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing  Hebrews 10:29

And now, I will give some more scripture to show my point.

Hosea 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Matt 7:
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

James 1:22-24
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] thatbeareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

Jam 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jam 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Jam 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Jam 2:20  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Jam 2:21  Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Jam 2:22  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Jam 2:23  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Jam 2:24  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Jam 2:25  Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent [them] out another way?
James 2:26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

2 Peter 1:1-10
1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

2 Peter 3:
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

James 5:
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

James 1:13-16
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

James 4:4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

2 Peter 2:
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverbThe dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Matt 13:
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Luke 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Matt 13:
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Hebrews 12
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

2 Peter 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Hebrews 3:12-15
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

1 Timothy 1:18-20:
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Hebrews 10:
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Ezekiel 18
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
25 Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Phishing Attacks Hit Twitter

by on Feb.02, 2010, under Tech Blog

http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/02/02/twitter.phishing/index.html

As I looked at CNN Tech today I noticed that Twitter, the instant status changing application, has been hit with a phishing attack and thousands of accounts may have been compromised. In the wake of these scams I feel it best to offer some advice to my friends and customers whom currently use any computer or social networking application.

1. What is a Phish?

A. A phishing technique was described in detail in 1987, and the first recorded use of the term “phishing” was made in 1996. The term is a variant of fishing, and alludes to baits used to “catch” financial information and passwords. Basically ,it is any form of a link or site set up to look like a legitimate site with an evil intent. You may notice emails in you inbox that look like they are from your bank but are not from your bank, things like this are a Phish, and shouldn’t be clicked on.

“How do I tell the difference between a real site and a phish?”

Well for one ask yourself this, have you made any recent transactions with the contact that sent you the mail? Also look in the address bar of the sender, is it from the legitimate .com, or does it say something like soso@hotmail.de? Most places will never ask for your login information and will prefer to contact you by mail or call you if they need something from you.

Another good tip, is that is if you are wanting to see if it is the actual site that is wanting you to go there, put your mouse on the link but don’t click, look and see in the lower left hand side of Internet Explorer what the site says. Next open the site you usually go to and see if the addresses match, if they don’t it’s most likely a Phish.

A lot of people have also gotten into the habit of sending application requests on Facebook, and other sites for pages, fan clubs, and games. I for one never click on these requests. Not because I don’t like you, but, because I have seen what can happen firsthand to a system when a bad link is pressed. There are a lot of smart hackers out there and it is not worth it to put your personal information at risk.

Remember Anti-Viruses and Firewalls only stop people from getting in from the outside, but you being on the inside can allow them through!

When in doubt don’t click, use your head. If something doesn’t look right it probably isn’t. If it goes to junk mail, it is probably junk, don’t send on any chain letters or apps, they could be dangerous. Make sure any and all sites that deal with money have the yellow lock in the lower left hand side when inputting any personal info. Also, make sure you do have a good anti virus. We can assist you with that if you contact us. 1-800-705-4043.

Stay Safe Out There!

Hackintosh 10.5.8 vs Windows 7

by on Feb.01, 2010, under Tech Blog

Those of you who know me, will attest to the fact that for years I was a strong anti mac person. I believe that was because I had limited real experience with them other than doing some minor networking, and the enormous pricing of some of the systems. But, due to having an Acer Aspire 3690 that was pretty much junk on Vista, I decided to see how certain systems would run on said machine. Seeing that the laptop was compatabile for Windows 7 and Hackintoshing I decided to do a test run on both systems on the laptop.

For those of you whom haven’t heard of Hackintoshing, some developers have gotten together and using the Intel platform of the new Mac OSx have developed a way to load OSx onto certain PC systems. Not all systems are compatible and one should research their system before attempting an install. I actually recommend using two seperate drives as that way you don’t destroy a working OS, in favor of a non working.

The first thing I did was pull out my Windows 7 Ultimate Signature Edition and load it in the Acer, install time took roughly an hour and a half. After running the various tweaks and updates, I had a Windows 7 pc that would load start to finish in under two minutes. The usability of the system was far better than Vista and flashier than XP. The native core Windows programs were there sucha as (Wordpad, Paint etc.) and it seemed to load most of my drivers from the start with the exception being my wireless card. Reliability was good as well, in fact, with the exclusion of taking a little bit longer than I like for the IE to open and constantly asking if I am sure I want to do something, I found it to be a likeable system.

Now most of my PC loving friends are breaking out the warm fuzzies and are loving the Windows 7 review, however they may wish to break out the tissues as I move on to the Mac portion.

I then tried the latest Hackintosh software for my computer using IatKos v7. Now, using it only gives you 10.5.7 but I have been using 10.5.8 at work. The install was very easy and took about 45 minutes. What I rather liked was that I could pick out the drivers at the start up, and formatting the drive was done in under a minute. After loading up I had to get used to the navigation but found that the manuevering on said system was way easier than using the Windows 7. When I told the OS to do something, It did it! Native programs are far better as well. OSx even comes incorporated with a Dictionary, and a really nice text editor that I would run beside Word any day. Installing my network printer was a breeze as well, with OSx finding it almost immediately compared to 7′s having to look for it online (Did I mention the native drivers are in 7??? And still it had to search online, and took around 5 minutes to pull down). The start up time is roughly 45 seconds and the experience as a whole was far more less taxing.

Windows 7 is great, but I feel that for now I will be Hackintoshing a lot of my systems. The sleekness and usability has won a new convert to the Macintosh side .

What happened to modesty?

by on Jan.30, 2010, under Religious

I am currently helping my daughter and some of her friends develop a website and was looking for some pictures to help Photoshop the banner image. The results were appalling! Using the search terms: Teen Girls, Teen Girls Smiling, and even Modest Teens it didn’t take too long to run into a picture that was less than modest by any means. It seems there is now a huge front attacking our young ladies assuring them that “showing skin” is appropriate. I am reminded of Proverbs 31, where it speaks of the strong virtuous woman. We seem to have way too much emphasis that teen pregnancy and that sexual images are ok in this world, sigh, yet another sign our Lord will return soon.
